Terms of reference

An independent expert review panel has been established to review the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (FOI Act) in relation to a range of matters set out in the Terms of Reference 1.52mb PDF 19kb PDF.

The independent review panel will prepare a discussion paper on the FOI Act to be released for public consultation in January 2008 .

Following community input, the panel will prepare a final report for Government's consideration.

The panel welcomes any suggestions about other issues concerning FOI that are not dealt with specifically in the full terms of reference. Follow this link for contact details.
